The Savoy
Blue & Gold Ball 2012
The grand Lancaster Ballroom of London’s prestigious Savoy Hotel will be resplendent with the colours blue and gold on the evening of Saturday the 25th of February when the old Royalists and their distinguished guests gather for the annual 29th Blue & Gold Ball. The Savoy is one of the world's most famous hotels and it is a byword for exceptional quality and impeccable service, making it the perfect venue to continue with the customary splendour of this right royal event.
The Annual Blue & Gold Ball is the main event of the ORAUK social calendar which attracts Royalists of all ages and their guests, including some who make the journey from overseas especially for the occasion. This prestigious event is an excellent opportunity for the Royalists to meet up with their old school mates after a lapse of many years to reminisce and continue that school bond from the past. The event begins with guests being treated to fabulous entertainment and sumptuous dinner with fine wine. Live music by 'Suresh & the Breeze' will keep revellers dancing till the small hours of the morning and there will also be a grand auction and a raffle with excellent prizes.
The Blue & Gold Ball is one of the biggest fund-raising events organised by the ORAUK. The association is not just a social group which bonds old Royalists living in the United Kingdom together, but also an outfit which funds and supports various development projects at Royal College. Swimming pool refurbishment, scholarships for hostellers, cricket development fund and RCU careers guidance centre are only a few projects to name, that the association has funded in the past. The Old Royalists’ Association in the UK is committed to their continued support to our alma-mater and our members are always determined to share their social and economic successes with young Royalists who are attempting to commence their long road to success.
